Main Point of the Program:
Ukrainian families in Canada take great interest in teaching their children the faith and culture through dance, song and their church.
Interview with Maryka Chabluk, "I wrote songs; songs about God.... as well as songs about frogs and butterflies. I chose topics to interest children. When the children are interested, they are listening. The music is energetic and lively so the children want to sing and move to the music. They might be butterflies flying, or frogs hopping.
I wrote a special song with the lyrics," Jesus Christ is born in us. He is alive and living in us."
I am very happy to let people know, especially children that Jesus is with us and we should feel grateful. Everyone should know that, if we are needing anything, we can go to God, whether we are young, adults or elderly.
I pray that my music reaches the children and their families. If I can do this, I am very thrilled to serve God.
When I was young, I spoke Ukrainian. As I grew up, I drifted away from using the language. When my children were born, I wanted them to know the language. We take them to church, teach them about God and our Ukrainian culture.

“very interesting and informative. Your program has enriched our schools with workshops;
incorporating crafts, dancing and music” – Manitoba Parents for Ukrainian Education Inc.
“a joyful and creative effort and something every child can enjoy. I applaud you for staying true to your vision and commitment, as so much kids music today rings rather hollow and patronizing, if not contrived. I love the spirit you convey, well done.”
